№ 02/A Brief History

On the work,
and how it gets done.

I started at LaunchBadge in 2021 — a software agency where any week could mean shipping a Web3 wallet, a token-auction platform, a small-business marketing site, or a cross-platform mobile app. The variety taught me to ship, learn, and ship again.

One of those engagements was Calaxy — a Web3 social platform founded by NBA guard Spencer Dinwiddie and Solo Ceesay. I led the frontend build from inside the agency, and when the work outgrew that arrangement Calaxy brought my team and me in-house. As Senior Frontend Engineer and team lead I stayed on through the next two years, taking the product from prototype to more than ninety-five thousand users and shipping over a thousand features along the way: end-to-end chat with crypto and NFT exchange, user-created mini-apps with their own monetization and access controls, magic-link wallets, and multi-chain support.

“Zero to ninety-five thousand users.”
Calaxy — 2023 → 2026

What I do best sits at the intersection of craft and translation. Performant interfaces (Lighthouse scores comfortably above ninety), reusable component libraries that let other engineers move quickly, and the patient work of turning the messy reality of product strategy into things designers, executives, and partners can actually agree on.

Featured Case Study — № 01

Calaxy.

A Web3 social network, scaled from prototype to ninety-five thousand users.

Calaxy chat — version 1.8
Fig. 02 — Calaxy v1.8 chat interface

Calaxy is a Web3-native social network — chat, posts, mini-apps, and a wallet, all in one place. The wallet sits at the heart of the experience: every interaction can carry crypto or NFTs, every conversation can become a transaction. Over my two years on staff we shipped four major releases, each one chasing the same question — what does a social product look like when value moves as freely as the messages do?

On the technical side that meant integrating three blockchains (Hedera, Solana, and Base), shipping magic-link wallet creation so onboarding stayed friction-free, building a chat system that could carry GIFs as comfortably as it carried token transfers, and giving creators their own monetizable mini-apps inside the platform.

Selected Releases
v1.8 — Chat, reimagined.
v1.82024

Chat, reimagined.

A complete overhaul of direct messaging — audio messages, reactions, edits, replies, mentions, GIF search, and in-line post sharing — all without breaking the existing crypto-and-NFT flows.

v1.7 — Worlds, and Solana support.
v1.72023

Worlds, and Solana support.

User-created mini-apps with their own monetization and access controls — open, invite-only, subscription, or token-gated. Plus full Solana support across hold, send, pay, and mint.

v1.6 — Magic-link wallets.
v1.62023

Magic-link wallets.

One-button wallet creation with Magic Link, plus an address book for the people you transact with most. Self-custody for those who want it; frictionless onboarding for those who don't.

v1.5 — FaceID, and external DMs.
v1.52022

FaceID, and external DMs.

Authentication overhaul reducing app load time by two seconds. Direct messaging — and crypto / NFT transfers — now reach phone numbers outside the platform.
